Stacking Bundle Lift
Introduction
Freighlite VRC with pallet fork design for stacking bundles.
Project Challenge
Customer has short-stacked bundles that are conveyed down to their packaging and shipping line, and they have to be stacked double high by a fork truck and driver before being loaded into the trucks for shipment. The customer would like to minimize fork truck traffic and space requirements at their shipping dock.
Our Solution
Our team designed a customer unit with retractable forks to raise the first bundle while the 2nd unit is conveyed underneath and then lowered. The forks are then retracted from between the two bundles and the double high stack is then conveyed down the line. Additionally, the stacker has sensors to automatically center the stacks and can accommodate 2 different bundle lengths.
Design features include:
• 4500# Lifting capacity
• 66” of vertical travel
• 39” of retractable forks
• Photo eyes for centering pallets of two different lengths, as well as ultrasonic “pallet present” sensor.
• Controls for Up/Down/Extend/Retract/E-stop

The Results
With our long history of designing quality material handling, we were able to take our Freightlite design and combine it with a fork pallet stacking application to create a lifting solution that positions multiple stacks and frees up more space at the shipping dock.
