Quad High Scissor Lift for Texas A&M
Introduction
Quad Scissor Lift travels 24 feet to deliver food and beverage supplies to Texas A&M stadium.
Project Challenge
The architect firm in charge of the renovation and expansion of Texas A&M’s Kyle Field Stadium contacted our dealer ESS Group about building a lift to take supplies to the stadium’s club level. They required the lift to travel 24 feet (288”) with a load capacity of 6,000 lbs., and a platform size of 5ft. x 10ft. With these high travel requirements, ESS Group recommended Autoquip to custom design the lift.
Our Solution
Autoquip typically recommends a freight lift when travel over 24 feet is required. However, in this particular job site requirement, the customer did not want to attach the lift to the building structure. Therefore, our engineers designed a custom Quad Scissor Lift with four sets of vertically stacked scissor to meet the travel height requirements. The lift is pit mounted and permanently fixed to the floor to keep the structure stabilized. We added safety gates and enclosures for mounting at the upper and lower levels per code requirement.

The Results
The Quad Lift is now in use at the stadium and has made the work much more efficient and safe for the employees to move supplies to the restaurants and suites at the stadium’s club level.
