Pit Mounted Lift & Tilt for Starbucks’ New Flagship Roastery and Tasting Room

Autoquip builds a Pit Mounted Lift & Tilt for Starbucks new flagship Roastery and Tasting Room for an ergonomic solution to position coffee beans.

When Starbucks decided to open a roastery and tasting room in their home town of Seattle, they brought in state-of-the art equipment to brew some of the most unique coffees to become Starbucks Reserve® coffees.  As part of that process, they wanted an ergonomic solution to position bags of coffee beans to prepare for roasting.

Autoquip built a state-of-the-art air force lift & tilt table to meet the needs of the application. The nature of the application meant that the lift had to meet food grade specifications which included air actuation, (2) hand actuated air valves, and a smooth steel platform.

Lift & Tilt Features Include:

• 30 degree max tilt
• 3,000 max lifting & tilting
• 24 inches of travel
• 50″W x 56 1/4″L smooth steel platform
• Air Actuation and hand actuated air controls
• (4) Sides accordion skirting with mesh air vents

Starbucks has indicated everything seems to be working according to plan.  The lift & tilt table is right in front of the huge copper shield and can be seen in their visual tour online, or when visiting the new roastery in Seattle.
