Our Integration Experience
Autoquip has experience working with systems integrators to achieve a solution that makes their manufacturing process more efficient. A client came to us wanting to reduce manual duties and achieve better control of their pipe loading and binding process. Autoquip worked with them to develop integrating material handling equipment that would do the hard work for them.
Given the massive size of their pipes and the reorientation needed to prepare them for stacking and binding, we created a system that took a pipe and transferred it out of fabrication onto a conveyor. The conveyor loads the pipe onto a lift-and-turn scissor lift table. From there, the pipe is lifted, rotated, and shuttled to the rack system. Then guided by rails to a fixture on another scissor lift table. Due to control automation, this process repeats itself until three or more pipes are stacked together for binding.
Although their process before coming to Autoquip was labor-intensive, our highly skilled team of engineers were able to design an automated system that integrated into their process successfully. We also ensured it worked with their existing equipment for a smooth and efficient operation.
