Revitalizing Operations: New Carousel Lift Upgrade
Introduction
New carousel work platform upgrade to combat overuse in busy parts picking area.
Project Challenge
With a continuous increase in shipping demands, our logistics customer who had invested in an Autoquip lift fifteen years ago for their order picking process was struggling to keep the lift in tip top shape due to the wear & tear over the years. The challenge meant:
- Replacing old equipment with a new one for maintaining continuous operations.
- Modernizing new lift with more safety features and optimizing platform space for an onboard workstation.
Our Solution
With a newly designed Carousel Work Platform Lift we enlarged the platform giving the operator plenty of space for their onboard workstation and increased walking surface. The operator can be positioned at the workstation on the horizontal carousel lift and raised to the appropriate level to effectively pick the parts.
Safety features include a nonskid grit platform surface, 48” permanent handrails with snap chains at pick openings, operator access gate, duplex outlet, and mounted operator push button. Bumpers are provided to support legs to cushion down stop at fully collapsed height.
